Educational Scope: The purpose of this program is to assist school districts with implementing and supporting education technology that fosters effective teaching and promotes K-12 student achievement. Vouchers can be used for purchasing hardware, software, evaluation tools, IT support services, and professional development services.

Notes: Not a competitive program; all districts that successfully complete the application for their eligible schools will be funded. Public school districts that have a state-approved technology plan may apply on behalf of their eligible schools. Eligible schools are defined as all public kindergarten through grade twelve schools, county offices of education, direct-funded charter schools, and State Special Schools in which at least 40 percent of the attending students are eligible to receive free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program.
