Ellen Cree, Ph.D., is director of services development for Renaissance Learning. Working with a team of instructional designers and writers, she produces the professional development materials for educators who use Renaissance Learning products.

Cree has over a decade of experience designing, writing, and producing educational products for print-, computer-, and video-based delivery. Former clients include several computer-based learning companies, Kentucky Educational Television, and the Minnesota Literacy Council; her projects extended from K12 to adult learning. She also has ten years of experience as an educator at the college level where she taught literature and writing, developed curriculum materials, and directed a remedial writing program.

Cree earned a B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina and a Ph.D. in literature from Indiana University, with a minor in the teaching of writing.
