Hawthorne Elementary is a pre-K-5 where 54% of students are eligible for free/reduced lunch. Since fully implementing Accelerated Reader with best classroom practices, the percent of students scoring proficient on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills has risen dramatically while the percent of students scoring low has continually declined.
