If you are looking for ways to build your internal capacity to provide on-going staff development and support for Accelerated Reader™, Accelerated Math™, or NEO 2™ our Training of Trainers programs may be the answer.
The first phase of each program is an intensive Four-Day Workshop. During this time participants review and explore best instructional practices and effective implementation strategies that lead to classroom environments in which students excel. In addition to hands-on experience working with and troubleshooting the application, these sessions allow your team to develop an in-depth understanding of classroom methods and techniques that maximize the impact of Renaissance products on student success in your school or district. Lively, engaging activities along with time for reflection and interaction will deepen your team’s understanding of adult-learning theory and enable them to plan effective staff development for their colleagues. Throughout the session, they will reflect on the current instructional practices in your school or district, analyze your unique needs, and create a strategic implementation plan. Participants leave the four-day event with a tool kit of activities and materials that will help them facilitate training when they return to their individual schools.
Research shows that providing ongoing support to local staff developers is key to ensuring their success. That’s why the four-day workshop is followed by a year of Consulting and Implementation Support; a Renaissance coach will be available by phone or e-mail to review content, provide ideas for overcoming barriers, and answer any questions that arise at your site.
Training of Trainers is offered at various times during the year in our Dallas office for participants from around the country; it can also be presented to a team at your site. The agendas provide a general outline of the content covered for each product, but this will be customized based on your needs.
