Should I ever leave a student off my Diagnostic Report?
As a general rule, you should include every student to whom you give a reading grade. There are a few reasons why you should leave a student off your report:
• The student is no longer enrolled in your class.
• The student has not been a part of your class for at least 12 weeks.
• The student is pulled from your classroom for reading instruction (i.e. Title I students or Special Education).
Please note: We recommend you leave the student on the report and write "new" or "moved" next to his/her name on the report. Marked students will not be included in the final analysis.
