On my STAR Growth Report, the students’ grade-equivalent score has gone up, but the percentile rank and normal curve equivalent scores have not. How will this affect my Master certification? To certify as Master Classroom or School, your class or school must show improvement in both percentile rank (PR) and normal curve equivalent (NCE). If your STAR Growth Report doesn’t show improvement, STAR test the students again later in the year. Please note that not every student needs to show improvement for Master Classroom, and not every class needs to show improvement for Master School. ("Improvement" would be a positive change in PR and NCE.)
