Accelerated Math for Intervention
Our research-based Tier 2 and 3 math intervention for grades 3 through 12 provides professional development and intervention coaching to help teachers utilize our math products for personalized assessment, instruction, and practice in a Response to Intervention (RTI) framework.
"The [Common Core] standards set grade-specific standards but do not define the intervention methods or materials necessary to support students who are well below or well above grade-level expectations." Accelerated Math for Intervention provides the tools and training to help teachers personalize assessment to each student's skill level, differentiate instruction and practice, and monitor student progress. Program reports allow for early detection of struggling or academically gifted students. Diagnostic tests allow teachers to check for weak skill areas or to advance students quickly through objectives on the edge of their mathematics learning.
"It is also beyond the scope of the Standards to define the full range of supports appropriate for English language learners and for students with special needs. Effectively educating these students requires diagnosing each student instructionally, adjusting instruction accordingly, and closely monitoring student progress." Accelerated Math for Intervention enables diagnostic testing to identify skill gaps at the edge of each student's learning, personalized instruction and practice on those skills, and continuous progress monitoring—while also increasing student engagement through mathematical discourse.
So effective is this approach to math intervention that a review by the U.S. Department of Education's National Center on Response to Intervention (NCRTI) has given top ratings in all categories to each tool of Accelerated Math for Intervention. Accelerated Math has also earned the top rating for Prevention and Intervention at all grade levels by the National Dropout Prevention Center.
