The 2Know! classroom response system fits perfectly into a Response to Intervention (RTI) framework because it provides the personalized practice and progress monitoring students and educators need to benefit from the key ideals of RTI:
- Evidence-based programs to support high-quality instruction
- Targeted interventions to help struggling students catch up to their peers
- Progress monitoring information to drive data-driven decision making
- Support—including family involvement—to make sure every student
experiences success

Teachers can use the 2Know! system in a variety of ways to gauge students' understanding during instruction. The 2Know! Toolbar, a visual onscreen tally tool, projects student responses to surveys, quizzes, and checkpoints taken on the Responders in a graph for the class to view together. The Toolbar is compatible with all types of interactive whiteboards and able to float over applications to allow for quick, on-the-fly assessments during instruction. This engages students because they are able to see how their answers compare to those of their classmates immediately and anonymously. 2Know! builds students' confidence by reassuring struggling students that they are not alone, and encouraging students that are excelling. 2Know! also enables teachers to produce reusable question and answer choices for 1,000 ready-to-use content items, from their own authored content, or from more than 7,000 downloadable content items from sources such as popular textbooks.
The 2Know! system allows for instant formative assessment in the classroom because teachers are able to gauge student understanding of a topic before moving on to the next one. Using the Responders with the assignment-creation software AccelTest, teachers can create daily or weekly quizzes to continuously monitor student progress.
2Know! and Renaissance Responders can be used as Assistive Technology at this level.
